The Epiphany Lutheran Church of Powellnaron Constitution reflects the theology and polity of this church as it organizes itself to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, share the sacraments, reach out to the neighbor with good news and share the Good News that God is Love in Word and Deed. These documents also demonstrate our commitment to seeing ourselves with others as part of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. As such, the Constitution is deeply rooted in Scripture, the Lutheran Confessions, and the history of this church and its predecessors.
As part of the process of calling a new lead pastor the Constitution needs to be updated. For several months now, the Constitution committee has been updating the Constitution. It is time for the document to be reviewed by all the members of Epiphany Lutheran.
The Church Council has reviewed the changes to the Constitution and recommend the congregation approve it at the Special Congregation meeting on August 26, 2018. The final version of the Constitution will then be ratified at the Annual Congregation meeting on September 23, 2018.
